Its been a while, I’ve had a it of a break posting online but just wanted to share some of pics from Summer with you from a short visit to Torquay “ The English Riviera “ and a visit to The Liberty Store/Carnaby Street (London).

I’ve explored a cross Devon and Cornwall over the years so I know it reasonably well, the opportunity to go back to Torquay and explore a little with my camera in hand was very welcome.

A bit random-but if you a do visit I can recommend Yum Sing Chinese restaurant , (just off the A379) in Torquay, we arrived quite late to Torquay and decided to order a take away from a near by Chinese restaurant. This is the best Chinese food we have ever had and that’s coming from a vegetarian and a meat eater-absolutely delicious as they cater well for both. Congrats to the chef-I just wish they were close to London-definitely next level fierce food.

The morning after we arrived I walked down to toward Torquay harbour (great location but I will spare you the details of the air bnb) where I enjoyed taking photos of the boats moored in the harbour and taking in the views as people strolled around in the morning/lunchtime sunshine

I met a few lovely people that were also interested in photography and they were happy to point out some useful places for me to visit and take photos and sometimes just chat. As you would expect in Summer there was a lovely mix of people visiting and exploring, drawn to the coast line and its various attractions.

I spent a few hours exploring -deciding that I would also come back later on in the evening, hoping for a beautiful sunset, but content to just soak up the calming sea side town atmosphere and sea air. Needless to say I wasn’t disappointed. I have attached images I took in the day time and evening to include the obligatory juvenile seagull that had positioned itself near a queue of people waiting to go on a cruise around the harbor whilst feeding it chips !

I’ve just added a snap from a visit to Liberty London-I love this store and visited with a friend I met up with for lunch in summer. Image was taken from a window in Liberty looking down onto Carnaby street.
