Christmas in London

Oxford Street

Its been a while, I’ve been busy-but I’m back to share a couple of images this month. Above is an image I took in the early hours of the morning just before the end of November on Oxford Street and the one below is from brief visit to China town. Christmas in London is so special, I may have to take a few videos and share with you - watch this space. The Oxford Street Christmas lights are new for this year and sooo beautiful. Especially when they’re switched on….

I arrived shortly after 5 am and got into position ready to start taking pics and then the lights went off. Seriously-they were off for at least 5 mins, it even made me think that I had arrived too late and that I would have to come back earlier another time. I was tempted to head back home initially but thought-hey I’m here now - even without the lights on, the stars still pack a punch.

Lucky-timing-I really don’t know but can you believe they came back on shortly after - maybe its just something that happens around 5 am, but I was relieved. I managed to get some good images with London buses and some Taxis. Check out my Instagram page over the next week as I will probably post more there.

Our London bus drivers are some of the best public transport drivers in the world, they navigate through heavy London traffic in the day time and at night, with such precision and care. At this time of the year its not a job for the faint hearted, especially at those peak times of the day and weekends around Christmas time. This morning as some of the buses stopped at the traffic lights (where I was positioned-ready to capture the oncoming traffic), they extend jolly good mornings to me and even offer advise where I should go in London for the best Christmas Light shots!

We love you #transportforlondon

Enjoy - I may share more here or on my insta page throughout December.

Christmas wishes, hugs and kisses to you all xx
