Leigh-on-Sea
11th September 2021
I have fallen in love with this small town on the Southend Coast line. Leigh on Sea and its beautiful cobbled stone pathways highlighted by the streetlights in the evening are a magical sight. Not forgetting its beautiful old English Pubs (Ye Olde Smack) beautifully adorned with hanging baskets and twinkling lights through the windows. It has a very old English feel with some Christmas feels as we head into Autumn
We arrived quite late on Saturday and headed over to the boat yard, the tide was out and the sun was setting. Magical. The last rays of the sunset reflected on the sand banks and the rivulets of water-casting a warm glow.
I managed to capture a few landscape images which I will post in my gallery soon but I am sharing this one for now-which I feel captures some of the mood.
Last stop before we leave, fish and chips on the seafront and then off in search of Southends freshly cooked doughnuts-yum
